It's the Thought that Counts
Heal from the inside out – Your thoughts hold the key to trauma recovery. Embracing difficult emotions can foster resilience and wellness. Trauma is not just an event that took place sometime in the past; it is also the imprint left by that experience on the mind, brain and body (Van der Kolk, B. (2015).
The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma.
Are your moods affecting your behaviour and daily life? Discover how the intricate connection between your brain and immune system influences your emotions and health. I help individuals recognize the difference between 'threat stress' and 'challenge stress' and develop personalized strategies to cope more effectively. By understanding these triggers, we can create a healthier emotional balance. By exploring how your beliefs shape emotional and physical responses, we can develop strategies for a more balanced mindset. Together, we'll work to reframe negative thinking patterns to promote health and wellness.

My Story
My personal journey of loss, grief and trauma instilled in me a deep understanding of adversity and survival and cultivated a strong sense of compassion to support others in difficult circumstances. Life is full of challenges and opportunities. I have learned that with the right person at the right time, one can learn from adversity and embrace our vulnerability to grow and persevere when we sometimes feel we can't move on. Sometimes all it takes are small changes that can greatly change our life trajectory and build our resilience and capacity to face another day.
